spark a conversation
This project involved a lot of soul-searching and inner work- by far the most thoughtful piece I've worked on. It all started with the prompt to create messaging around a topic that we wanted to shed light on socially. I had to ask myself: 'What message do I want to put out into the world?"

After much thought, I realized the best message I could promote was a positive one. The end result was a series of posters that aim to instill hope in viewers to counteract much of the negative messaging we are bombarded with today. Each poster tackles different aspects of the hope the Bible provides for our future, along with supporting scriptures.
Each poster was composed by hand. First, I printed the big words and silhouettes and cut them out with a crafting knife. I found that leaving the cut unfinished and using the hanging pieces created an interesting effect that pushed the message further. I then printed various images that represented each poster's idea and assembled them under the cutouts to show through.

Each cutout was scanned in and edited further on photoshop to create the final result. Here's a peek at my crazy setup!
